About Carolyn

Thanks for stopping by. So, you’re thinking about eating healthy. Or eating healthier, maybe.

I started this blog in response to the New York Times Well blog that published Jonny Bowden’s list of The 11 Best Foods You Aren’t Eating. Because I was eating them. I have been eating them. There was only 1 item on the list I didn’t have. Strangely, that was prunes. And I’m a colorectal surgeon. Oh well, it’s not because I don’t like them. There just weren’t any in the house.

But I figured if other people weren’t eating them, maybe they just didn’t know what to do with them. And maybe lots of other great foods.

I love to cook. I also love to read about cooking. I can’t walk by a bookstore without checking out the cookbooks. I can’t surf the internet without reading my favorite go-to blogs – smittenkitchen and What’s Eating Carolynn. Right now, there are at least 3 cookbooks open to some recipe I’m planning to cook.

So come cook with me. I promise this isn’t diet food or deprivation. Just healthier for you.

That’s funny–I read that list too and thought why aren’t we eating prunes? My kids LOVE dried fruit. So now we have them in the house….

    A big hi from EateastIndian.

We’ve been following your blog since last few weeks and find it quite interesting. We’ve just launched our website: http://www.eateastindian.com and would love it if you can share it with your readers. The site will be a good resource for local residents for East Indian Restaurants as well as when they travel abroad.

Thanks from your East Indian Friends!
